The synopsis, however, still blueprints (not predicts) the way things shall progress due to the exponential charting, then applying them to current standards of technology and production. The author, (Ray kurzwiel) is a very viable source (MIT named him the inventor of the decade, modern technologies wouldn't even exist without him...and he's been doing this since the late 50s, so he's been a direct witness to progression in various environments as well) ... Needless to say, if you want to know what the next 100years has ready for us....you should read the link...very informative.
